Hepatitis B and HIV/AIDS - A simple precautionary habit.

There has been much emotive debate as to how to approach this subject within schools, especially one such as ours where members of staff often have to deal with bodily fluids on a day-to-day basis.

Because of the need to respect confidentiality of the individual, one has to approach routine prevention by assuming everyone has or carries these diseases.

Consequently, a basic, but strict, hygiene routine has been established. This involves all staff wearing disposable gloves when attending to all pupils’ bodily fluids.
